Hi, I just got a newer PC from my local pawn shop. It's has a 2.6 Celeron D 330 (Prescott) processor and 128MB DDR333 ram. I am currently playing around with overclocking her, but I have been having some problems.

First question: Any time I go over 165 MHz if the FSB it wont boot... At all... No keyboard lights, monitors screen is black/power button blinks, etc. I have had to manually reset my CMOS 3-5 time because of it. What will allow me to go 166+ MHz in the future when I'm ready?

Second question: I'm going to be upgrading my ram in a few days. I am going up to 500MB. My mobo supports 400/333/266. Which frequency should I go with? I'm not sure where is comes in, but I have been reading that this version of the Celeron can be overclocked to 3.8 GHz with a FSB of 190. What frequency of ram should I get?

Third question:
My FSB setting keep resetting itself. I have been running with 160 MHZ (up from 133). This is good for 3.2 GHz (up from 2.6) But there are times that my CMOS settings reset the Frequency/voltage settings back to default (but only these settings, i.e its not a 'Bad CMOS checksum, reverting to default settings... Press F1 to continue, del for setup' type thing. At first I didn't even know it was resetting it until I was looking in cpu-z and it was saying that I was running at 2.66 again. What could be making it do this?

For what it's worth, when the FSB is set to 160 she runs at 32c average with no load, 45c average under high stress from Prime95 (CPU benchmarking tool). At 165 MHz in the FSB (3.4 GHz) she get's hot (50c+) durring stress tests and has rebooted her self a couple times, but with 160 in the FSB she stays stable (although hotter then I like) at high loads. I am running stock cooling at this time.

Last but not least, yet likely the questions that overclockers hate the most... What would be a good CPU to upgrade to?

Heres a link to the CPU's that my mobo supports

I dont' believe that chipset supported AGP/PCI lock, so your bus speeds could be all out of whack when overclocking.

Also, no mention of PSU but anything Prescott based will be somewhat heavy on the power draw.
