P4C800-E DX Rev2 or 1.xx ??

Between the pci slots it says Rev2 but when use software like Sandra or cpu-z it comes up as a Rev 1.xx.

Have I been hit over the head ... because I'll send it back if this is true.

mobo must be right because if it was not isnt there a law or something that makes it illegal to my a product which does not match its spec
also cpu-z and sandra is saying it is 1.xx well dont it not mean there do not know what the version is so they put the xx on the end
although i dont use sandra and cpu-z well i dont really pay much attention to somethings on there
although i could be totally wrong here

What does the box say?
Is there a difference between any versions referred to?
did you ask Asus yet?

Likely something absolutely normal and a perfectly good board I would think

Trust the silkscreened text over the box and the box over the software 'reading'.
