G.Skill Ripjaws4 DDR4-2666 MHz Memory Kit Review

Back in September of last year, G.Skill provided a Ripjaws4 DDR4-3000 MHz memory kit to compliment our Haswell-E launch day coverage. This time around, G.Skill sent along a Ripjaws4 DDR4-2666 MHz 16 GB kit for us to have a look at. This particular kit carries a part# F4-2666C15Q-16GRR and is priced substantially less than their DDR4-3000 MHz and above offerings. DDR4 memory is by nature a very expensive proposition, so we’re excited to see if G.Skill can provide a cost efficient DDR4 memory kit that still provides the performance we’ve come to expect from their memory products.

ASUS STRIX GTX 960 Graphics Card Review With SLI Results

With NVIDIA’s release of the GTX 960 GPU today, ASUS was kind enough to provide a pair of their STRIX OC Edition cards for us to check out. Obviously, having two of these will allow us to perform SLI testing in addition to our normal test routine. The ASUS STRIX GTX 960 comes complete with a factory overclock (OC Edition) and their proprietary DirectCU II cooler featuring 0dB fan technology.

Overclocking for a Cause: Turrican Memorial Charity Challenge

It was just a matter of time before G.Skill released faster DDR4 memory kits with faster timings. True to form, they announced two new kits today that reach speeds of 3200 MHz and 3400 MHz. Not only have the speeds increased, but the timings got tighter too.

G.Skill Sets New DDR4 Memory Frequency Record of 4255 MHz

G.Skill announced they have set a new DDR4 memory frequency record of 4255 MHz using 18-18-18 timings.. The achievement was accomplished by Shamo using an ASUS Rampage V Extreme motherboard and an i7 5960X processor, all under LN2 sub-zero cooling.
