Bobnova Going Sub-Zero Live Tonight!

Overclockers writer and Benching Team member Bobnova (HWBot profile, author profile) , will be benching sub-zero live tonight!

Tune in to Overclockers Live! at 9:15 p.m. EST / 6:15 p.m. PST (plus or minus 15 minutes) for some overclocking with dry ice (DICE). Here’s the low-down:

  • Mobo: Asus P5Q Pro
  • CPU: Celeron 420
  • RAM: Crucial Ballastix D9
  • GPU: Zotac GTX580
  • Cooling: Dry ice on the CPU, air on the GPU
  • Focus: “If the celeron turns out to go no higher on dice then air, I’ll be running an e5200 for 2d stuff of all sorts, it’s only dice run was the second dice run I ever did and I didn’t do wp1024 or spi32m, plus I had a terrible mount on the pot. I should be able to step things up a bit.”
  • Click here to watch on Overclockers Live!
  • Date & Time: March 3, 2011 at 9:15 p.m. EST / 6:15 p.m. PST (plus or minus 15 minutes)
    • Benching will wind down between 3:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m EST (12:00 a.m. and 1:00 a.m. PST).

Hope you can stop by and root him on!

Even that is not always accurate! My most recent win7 install had it a couple days previous and five hours earlier somehow.

EDIT:
Focus is celery 420 PCMark05 (globaaaaals!), secondary is celery 2d stuff.
If it turns out to be junk on dice then it's the e5200 as listed in the article.

Also not if you're on XP...there's just a time, no date unless you hover. :)

Are you crazy?... This is going to be a looooooooooong @$$ session... Waiting an average of nine minutes for PCM05 to finish one run is going to make this a very slow session.

Gotta go hide my wallet from myself right now... So much "off" time during the stream could mean disaster to my finances.

Not even that, really dolk :P

If you get a good one it's okish sorta for all the benches for HW points.
For globals it's PC05 or forget it.

I could take gold in every catagory and have fewer points then I got off a mid range q6600, decentish 920, or quite good e6600 (that thing gave a lot!).

I'm after the pc05 globals, the other 2d stuff I'll run (maybe not spi32m or wp1024...) to get some hw boints if the chip will go fast enough.
