It's getting to be about time that I think we need to step things up for the front page to raise awareness for Team 32. I had been working to try to get a contest in the works, where prizes will be awarded based on articles posted on the front page (Overclockers.com). I am still working out a few kinks, and waiting for my work schedule to level out, but the contest will be coming soon. All any of you have to do to qualify for the prizes, is to write articles for the front page. I have decided that it will be based on an average of unique hits per article. I think this should help keep things fair enough. I will be checking with IMOG on the availability of the prizes, which were briefly described in this thread, along with links to the reviews which were posted at OC.com.

If any of you are interested, feel free to contact IMOG, hokiealumnus, or splat with your email address, and they will get the WordPress access set up for you. You can write anything related to folding, whether it be a build log for a folding rig you just built, things you may have learned because of folding, or even just an introduction to yourself any why you fold. As far as getting the word out about your articles, any legitimate method will be allowed. This includes linking your articles on FaceBook, Twitter, MySpace, Digg, etc. I would like to see everyone involved, and now is a good time to write that first article for practice!!:)

HTPC Build - abit AX78, CPU: 5000+BE, HSF: Arctic Cooling Freezer Pro 64,
RAM: OCZ Platinum DDR2-800

I'm pretty sure these are the available prizes, of which we can choose which ones we want to pick to use for the folding contest.

I think this is a really cool way to help raise FAH awareness and help get overclockers.com the hits it needs. I'm also surprised there hasn't been any more activity in this thread... this is an excellent opportunity to win some good stuff for a small amount of time.

Thanks to deadly and IMOG for putting this together.

The main reason I wanted to put this together is to try to get people writing. I have found that I can write a good article in about an hours time. When I first took the position as Content Editor, things were going very smoothly. The articles were flowing quite nicely, and then it started to dwindle down to the point that the only things we are seeing now is the Member Spotlights. I want to try to get our team back into the spotlight on the front page, but that means we need more content from each member on this team.

I have also thought about checking with IMOG about setting up one other new Senior (wonder who that might be:p) with the same content editor status, since he has expressed interest in becoming one. At times, I think about it in 2 different ways. One is that 2 heads working together gives us more eyes on the forums to look for that content. The other thing that comes to mind when I think about it is the fact that we still have other sections that could use a CE, and there may be one that he may actually express interest in. I will shoot out a PM to said member, to see what he thinks, before I mention any names.

great Idea , and have a Few Articles in the pipeline as I speak and they too also mention Folding@home and Team32

I have just received a PM from IMOG about the HTPC. It seems that OC may need to sell it for other needed hardware, if it is not going to be used as a prize in the contest. I need to know how much interest the members here have, so that the correct decision can be made. Let me know what everyone thinks, and I will pass the results on to IMOG.

Edit: This case has just become available, so I think I may just have IMOG do what he needs to with the HTPC for Overclockers.
