conroe stuff question

Well Christmas is right around the corner, seems like a good time to get some new parts in my ancient computer (p4 3.0c hehe)

I've been out of the loop on hardware since athlon 64s came out. Hopefully you guys can recommend some parts for me, this is what I'll be using it for:

very light gaming- anything equal to or better than my x800pro will be fine for cs 1.6

DC projects- might as well get 2 gigs if building a new rig, I definitely care more about the cpu/ram than the video card. I'm leaning toward the e6400. I definitely will never use SLI or crossfire or anything other than 1 video card

I will be using my OCZ powerstream 520, Audigy 2, drives, fans etc from my current rig, but need new heatsink/fan as well.



I really appreciate any advice.

ok, after some looking around this is what I came up with

conroe e6400
Asus P5B Deluxe
G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)

I want to go cheap on my video card until I play different games. What is the cheapest card that can play cs 1.6 well?
