Hi all,

I have been given an ASUS GTX 650 GPU but am unsure if it's compatible with our current system. Specs are as follows:

OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3.00GHz
RAM: 4.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 398MHz
Mobo: ECS G31T-M7

I fitted the GTX 650 into our system, but it would not boot up. So I am assuming it is not compatible, but would like to be sure before I go any further. It's a few years old so I'm not holding my breath!

If this is the case, could anyone suggest a new Mobo we could get that would suit?

Thanks in advance. :)

The new GTX650 is backwards compatible so that is not the problem. check the seating of the Graphics card and make sure you have power cable plugged in if it has one.

Thanks guys. It was slotting in fine, but wasn't aware it needed a power cable so will get one after Easter and fire it up. Cheers for your help. :)
