I'm thinking of adding a nice window @ the top of the case.

Hey guys,
After a really long time w/out a post here I'm back :)
Well an upgragde is comming this month and I'm getting my case ready for it.
My mobo will be the MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum:

*Nice and blackish ;)

So my case need some changes. I'm gonna paint it to match my black-red theme. Here's a pic of the case:

Ok, first thing that got my attention is my rad's shroud. I painted it white in the past w/out know how ugly it will be. Pic:

So first thing I painted it red:

Now I used photoshop to help me visuallize how it gonna look w/ the black & red theme: (I used to be so much better in photoshop )

Well looks nice doesn't it?

So I started sanding, priming and painting...
Here's my custom sanding block:

The middle parts are already red so I used some aluminum paper to cover it:

(Ofcourse this is after sanding and priming!)

You can't really see it but this is the top and the bottom of the case drying after priming:

Drying the stuff in my brother's room (he's on a long vaction so he's room is empty :D ):

I think Daewood and Sume are trying to come up with a poem for your case mod ;).

I love the color scheme. keep the updates coming :)

Well, we're starting to see the results :D
I jumped to HomeDepot and got some TurtuleWax.
I rubbed my doors and panels with it. This is the result:

Front panel:

by the way that black is sexy but remeber that it is the most unforgiving color to paint with... shows everything

Are you goign to put some clear coat on it? I noticed it looks as if there is none at the moment...maybe after it's done raining....

update...

Today I picked up this Thermaltake X-RAY for 5.25".
This is it: (a nice flash animation, taken from TT.com)
http://t0msmod.t35.com/newmodcont/ttxray/1.htm

I thought it was cool, the cup tray and the cigarette lighter (although I don't smoke in the house) but something was missing to make it L33T!

Then it came to me! I need some lightning in the tray so the cup will be nicely colored. So I started working:

First I rewired the cigarette lighter cables and glued them nicely:

The leds that will be used, two red bright leds :) :

Then I started to make the holes for the cables to go throw:
mini-DSCN3948.xyz

OK, now I made the holes for the LEDs:

First LED installed and glued:

I should be getting my new rig tomorrow, so I'll update again tomorrow :)
