This is pretty much what I have decided on.
So many options so many decisions.
I will be adding a second GPU in about 2 months and very likely watercool it all then as well. :)

Just interested to hear other peoples thoughts. :)

Corsair Obsidian 750D Full Tower Case $190.00
Intel Core i7 4790K Quad Core LGA 1150 4.0GHz Unlocked CPU Processor $399.00

*****ASRock Z97 Extreme6 Intel LGA 1150 ATX Motherboard $219.00:bang head
Or **ASRock Z97-EXTREME 9 Intel LGA 1150 ATX Motherboard $329.00:bang head

EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Ti Superclocked 3GB Video Card 1 0 $829.00 $829.00
G.SKILL ARES 16GB (2x 8GB) DDR3 2400MHz Desktop Memory F3-2400C11D-16GAB $209.00
Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5" SATA III SSD MZ-7TE250BW $155.00
Western Digital WD3003FZEX WD 3TB Black 3.5" 7200RPM SATA3 Hard Drive $209.00
Corsair RM-1000 1000W 80 PLUS Gold Power Supply $249.00

Corsair Hydro Series H110 Liquid CPU Cooler $155.00

I would get the Extreme6.

Also, you have ZERO need of a 1kW PSU for a single GPU setup. A quality 500W unit will be plenty.
For SLI, a quality 750W unit will be plenty.

I really like the EVGA Supernova G2 series for high quality PSUs, the 750W or 850W variant would be a perfect fit for this build :)

Yep was leaning towards the 6 ($100 less expensive.) and was also considering the Corsair AX860 860W 80+ Platinum Modular Power Supply

Consider the SuperNova G2 850W, you're honestly overpaying for the Platinum rating.

And.... why do you feel the need to run a pair of 780 Ti video cards? One alone will smoke right through any modern title.

Thats the reason I am only getting one for a start. If I find it does everything I want I probably wont get the second one. But the option is there.

I would take a look at the Asus DC II card, competetivly priced and simply a better option.

I have the evga 850 atm speaks of, great unit, you'll only need the 750 and you'll find the single 780TI is more than enough.
I also have the extreme 9 board, I love it but, the extreme 6 will have all the features and grunt you need.

One thing about the ASRock Z97 Extreme6 they say it does not have 802.11ac support but as I have an external router that does not matter. Is that correct?

By the looks of it, the info might be referring to the mini card slot not being able to support 802.11ac. That sounds odd though, as it looks like it does not have any kind of integrated WiFi NIC. I dont see why it would not support it given the correct adapter. As you stated however it would not affect you as the router you have does not support 802.11ac

The router I have is a Billion and has 802.11g It is getting a few years old now but still works well, and gives ADSL2+ speeds. But will it work with the ASRock Z97 Extreme6?

The Z97 Extreme6 does not have built-in WiFi.

Corsair 760T is much more bad-*** than the case you're looking at now. I'd go with it.

BTW are you aware that if you're fine with 1 graphics card you could build your PC in something as small as this:

By using an ITX board. You can get them with WiFi built in.

But I can just connect it via a Ethernet and DSL cable. And then utilise the WiFi in the router for my mobile etc.

I, for one, and perhaps I'm the only one, perfer a wired connection, I'm lazy and just hate setting a wireless up but when the little suga bee stings me about the wires all over the place i kinda have to.
