LGA 775 / 1155 & AM3+

I currently have
EVGA 790i FTW + Intel Core 2 Extreme Qx9770
ASUS Sabertooth Z77 + Intel Core i7-3770K
ASUS Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 + AMD FX-9370 Black Edition
computers ... but no CPU Heatsinks/Fans
I definitely intend to OverClock the Intel builds, and maybe overclock the AMD in the distant future ...
What CPU Fan(s) should I invest in?

*I seldom use the internet, but could have sworn that there was a listing/table/chart of side-by-side comparisons and results for different components /etc. for which parts would be better together /etc. ...?

NH-D14 or PH-TC14PE for the AMD system.

if the qx9770 is like my qx9650, i'd go for a bit better of a cooler than the 212 evo...
it likes to throw off lots of heat!

Depends on what your budget for cooling is, what your intended OC level is and a variety of other things.

In what case? What other components? What fans and how many in each case? etc....

Antec 900 ATX Mid-Tower + Ultra X-Finity 600W PSU + EVGA 790i FTW (132-YW-E179) + Intel Core 2 Extreme Qx9770 (EU80569XL088NL) + [4x2] CORSAIR Vengeance 2GB DC2000MHz DDR3 (CMZ4GX3M2A2000C10) w/ CORSAIR CMXAF1 & possibly considering ZALMAN CNPS12X fan (LGA775) and seeing how far can push the CPU before (~)>70^C (updated research suggests that the initial manufacturer recommended temp level of 55^C actually was incorrect and that 85^C is the highest 'safe' operating temp [or w.e.])_________-also has 1 PCI (dual) fan [no specific] for a total of 13x Fans (not including CPU Fan)

Ultra Aluminus ATX Mid-Tower + Thermaltake SMART M750W PSU + ASUS SABERTOOTH Z77 + Intel Core i7-3770K (BX80637I73770K) + [having difficutly finding RAM better suited for a "maximum" build] w/ CORSAIR CMXAF1 & (LGA1155) considering figuring out a way to fit something along the lines of 'CORSAIR Hydro Series' to try to get the most (and stability of course) out of this build_________- 9x Fans (not including CPU Fan)

NZXT Crafted Series G921RB Mid-Tower + Ultra HS750 PSU + ASUS Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 + AMD FX-9370 Black Edition (FD9370FHHKWOF) + [2x8] Patriot Extreme Performance Viper 3 (PV316G186C0KBL) w/ Kingston HyperX KHX-FAN-B & looking toward Noctua NH-D14 (AM3+) [and not planning to tinker w/ anything other than Auto/Default settings&Configuration]_________- 6x Fans (not including CPU Fan)
