Today we take an in-depth look at Silverstone’s SETA A1 Mid-tower case. The SETA A1 is advertised as a premium quality case with impressive lighting and substantial airflow. It features a steel chasis, brushed aluminum front panel, and a tempered glass side panel. It certainly has the look and feel of a quality case without being overly gaudy.
Today we are reviewing a newly launched RGB solid state drive from Team Group. Announced in September, the newly redesigned T-Force Delta MAX is one of the most original creations we’ve ever seen in the hard drive market. It has addressable RGB LED’s and implements a mirror-type light diffuser. Team Group delivers a piece of RGB artwork that’s sure to an eye-catching element of any high-end computer build.
Up on the test bench today is a DDR4 offering from Mushkin Enhanced. Their Redline Frostbyte features speedy XMP profiles and aggressive styling, but will it be compatible with AMD’s newest generation of motherboards? Memory compatibility on AMD’s X570 series platform is still problematic at best. Many of the memory kits on the market today were designed with Intel platforms in mind. Choosing a kit of memory at random and expecting it to work flawlessly on AMD platforms could end in a comparability nightmare. We’d like to explore this memory further and put it to the test on our AMD X570 based test bench.
In December of 2019 Team Group released the T-Force Xtreem ARGB memory modules. This new addition to the companies’ gaming memory lineup features a radical new design with a mirrored heat spreader that is also opaque and illuminated from behind. In the modern DDR4 arena, companies are constantly breaking new ground with design elements to attract customers. They’ve done enough to attract our attention, but we’d also like to know how the memory performs.
We’ll be taking a slight detour in our testing today to help shed some light on this. Instead of comparing similar cards performance which we typically do. We’ll be testing a Sapphire Pulse 4 GB and comparing it to a Gigabyte Gaming OC 8 GB RX 5500 XT to see what impact, if any, having only 4 GB of VRAM may have on gaming. Since these cards are physically wired at PCIe x8 We’ll also testing PCIe 4.0 against PCIe 3.0 performance to see if opening up the PCIe bandwidth has any impact on the results.
