CES 2023 – Phanteks Displays Wireless Fans, New AIOs, White builds, and More!

One of our next stops at the Bellagio is Phanteks, who had a slew of items to show off in the suite. One of the first things, and a major theme of CES 2023, are white builds. So they had an all-white build (Phanteks NV7) with their white D30-120 fans and blocks. They also showed off their Eclipse series chassis, 2nd-gen Glacier Series AIOs and water blocks, Polar Series air coolers, and finally, the Revolt SFX 850W Power supply.

However, one of the more awesome pieces they showed off has to be the D30-120 mm fans. Hitting store shelves in black and now white, the new fans sport RGB lighting on both sides, screw cover plates to hide the mounting holes, and the best feature, they are wireless. Well, one fan needs to connect to the board/fan controller for power, but the rest connect to each other with metal contacts to share the power among them. This, along with the screw caps and covers, yield one of the most clean-looking fan implementations on the market. Also worth mentioning is that you can buy these fans blowing in BOTH directions. This way, you always see the ‘pretty’ part of the fans in your build and have the airflow moving in the right direction.

Those were cool... two different flow directions (different SKUs, note, you can't reverse these) and no wires = awesome sauce.

I'll be interested to see if they have to directly touch or can be a little apart.

Not 100% sure... I'd imagine they need to be touching though..

True. I'm thinking of the cases and radiators where they are slightly apart. Still a great idea though.

Not sure. The rads I've used, since I've used rads, have zero spacing between the fans. This is literally what they are for, rads...
