I just sold all of my RTX and GTX cards while the craziness is still going on. Made between $100 - $200 per card no matter how many hours were on them. They are even snapping up GTX 1060's for ridiculous prices!! I'm glad I saved some of my old GTX465's from wayyy back in the day :) Anyway when it all settles down I will have upgraded to RTX 3080's or whatever I decide on for free. Just thought I would throw that out for anybody wanting to upgrade and make a few extra $$$ for upgrades.

The question still remains as to how/when you're going to get your 3080 ? You're certainly not going to make enough money selling a couple of old cards to pay the VASTLY inflated prices for a 3080.

Miners are buying even older cards for ridiculous money. One example (maybe not so old card). I bought GTX1660Ti for ~$300 (local tax is 23%) over a year ago, I sold it for ~$320 2 months ago. Now I could get ~$450 for the used one while new (and not really available) cost $550-650 in stores. My friend sold RTX2070 for as much as he paid for it in Oct last year just after he bought his first RTX3070 but now he would get about ~40% more.
Btw. I just ordered RX6800XT for ~$1100 (still that 23% tax etc) while this card costs already $1600 in most stores.

Hope to have you back in the fold soon Nate:thup:

That actually makes a lot of sense...I have 3 1 year old GTX 2060's that if I was selling would bring $350 each and a 1080 Ti maybe $450 or $500 ? The RTX 3080@$810 I added today does almost as much PPD as 3 of the GPU's.

As I am on EVGA's list for 4 or 5 more at list...If they offer me any more :attn:

I'll be back.. Probably in 4-6 months when cards settle down :) But will be putting out more PPD and less power consumption.

I sold the following:

RTX 2070 Super $635
RTX 2060 Super Black $600
RTX 2060 standard $529
GTX1060 6gb $250

Should have waited a little longer. Would have eek'd a little more out of them as they are going higher now.

Where did you end up selling them, Ebay? That is a lot more than I would have asked for...

I really need to put my 2070S up on the block. A friend that I snagged a 3080 for when I also got mine from BB was able to sell his 5700xt for 480 on ebay within an hour of listing it. I was hoping to snag a 3070 first from BB but then missed their last drop.

Sold them on Ebay. They are going pretty well on Craigslist if you don't mind shady parking lot cash deals haha...

Yeah, I'll let everyone catch up for awhile. I actually wasn't going to fold as long as I did but the folding addiction kicked in again. Looks like it could be 2022 before I get any RTX 30 series cards now so you got some time haha!
