Weird CD problem!

Hello, i am still in the process of rebuilding my gal's system, and that d*?@ cd-r simply refuces to work! So 98s recognizes it ok, and power is ok, but i cannot make it to work! tried different cables, different combonation of master/slave/cs, etc. nothing..help!

Try the drive in a different system or try another drive in the system your building. The drive just might be bad.

my bad, but it did work this moring, however, as i woke up from a nap, it ceased to work! the only i did before i went to sleep was enable DMA funtion. anyway, i will try to work around it more. thanz for the reply.
