Overclockers Folding@Home Team Spotlight #91 Special December Edition!

Our Overclockers.com Folding@Home Team have been running member spotlights for quite some time – this is the 91st feature in our series of Folding Spotlights! Please give a warm welcome to Santa !

Dfonda : Thanks for the interview ! When did you join the Team 32?
Santa: Since it started. I first went under the name Default.

D: If there was something recent that you did that you wanted your fellow team members to know about, what would it be?
S: Celebrated my 800th birthday, I took Mrs Claus to the workshop.

D: You do not have to give specifics (address), but what Part of the world do you live in, and if you don’t mind telling, what town?
S: You’re Kidding right? Its the North Pole. (Looks annoyed)

D: Do have a secret identity you could share with us? A real name maybe?
S: Hmm. Yes, I guess I could, in confidentiality, reveal to the Team who I really am. (Whispers) Cris Cringle.

D: How did you initially hear about F@H?
S: I get a newsletter on all “Good Causes” also the previous Santa asked me if I would take over.

D: After starting, why do you continue to Fold?
S: This is the time of year to “Do Good”. Its a thank you to all our dedicated Team 32 members.

D: What do you do for a living?
S: Run a big toy shop, I also run a Computer parts warehouse where the big-kid toys are built.

D: What do you do for fun?
S: Snowshoe, Cross Country ski, and occasionally enjoy flying around the world.

D: Is there anything special you do in your spare time that you really enjoy?
S: Building PC’s and Overclocking. I can usually get my temps down to minus 40 just by opening a window!

D: Time to spill your guts. What are the stats of your main folding rig? Why is it your fave? What do you use the rig for?
S: I am sort of embarrassed, I use a Macbook Pro, but only because the elves are always gaming on the good I7/Fermi rigs. You know “Steam” doesn’t work so good on the Mac, just saying.

D: Do you have a Borg-Farm (Group of computers)? If so, how many computers, and what are they? (CPU, RAM)
S: Yes. Millions of Computers world wide running under the name Anonymous and Default, I am thinking of taking over all PS3’s and secretly changing the team # to 32.

D: How do monitor your farm?
S: HFM ! What else ?? (Looks Stunned)

D: What are your future goals? What do you most want to accomplish with your life?
S: World Peace. Improving my Team Fortress skills, I would someday like to beat the elves at Wii Sports.

D: If there is something you want to tell the team, then spill your guts! What have I missed in my questions that could help the team learn more about you and the elf’s?
S: I am a fat elf, and like my elf brethren (and sisterthren) enjoy this time of year the most. They are the best elves and deserve all the praise we can give them, and Cookies! They want more Cookies!  All these years you think I have been eating your Cookies?  Wrong, its been them!! 🙂
