Today, EKWB unveiled the EK-Quantum Vector Master water blocks for Gigabytes Aorus Master RX 6800XT and RX 6900XT Graphics cards. They feature a nickel-plated electrolytic copper cooling plate and are available in either clear acrylic or a solid black POM acetal. Currently, these are only available in Slovenia and Europe as a pre-order but should hit the rest of the world shortly. Pricing for the Acetal version is $195 while the Acrylic model is $200. Additionally, EKWB is selling aluminum backplates separately for these water blocks and are available in anodized black or nickel-plated. See below for EKWB’s press release.
EK UNVEILS NEW VECTOR WATER BLOCKS FOR AORUS MASTER 6000 SERIES GPUS
June 10, 2021 – EK®, the leading computer cooling solutions provider, is launching the new EK-Quantum Vector Master water blocks made for the AORUS® Master version of the AMD® Radeon™ RX 6800 XT and 6900 XT graphics cards.
EK-Quantum Vector Master RX 6800XT/6900XT Water Blocks
These 2nd-generation EK-Quantum Vector water blocks implement an Open Split-Flow cooling engine design, which proved to be a superior solution for GPU water blocks. It is characterized by low hydraulic flow restriction, meaning it can be used with weaker water pumps or pumps running on low-speed settings and still achieve top performance. The jet plate and the fin structure geometry have been optimized to provide even flow distribution with minimal losses and optimal performance when used in any given coolant flow orientation, unlike some currently available products on the market.
The base of the block is CNC-machined out of nickel-plated electrolytic copper, while its top is CNC-machined either out of glass-like cast acrylic or durable black POM acetal. The watertight sealing is ensured by high-quality EPDM O-rings, while brass standoffs are already pre-installed and allow for a safe and easy installation procedure.

D-RGB Lighting on the EK-Quantum Vector Master RX 6800XT/6900XT Water Blocks
The aesthetic end-piece is housing the addressable D-RGB LED strip. These water blocks boast a total of 7 individually addressable RGB LEDs. They are compatible with popular RGB sync technologies from all major motherboard manufacturers. The arrow marking on the 3-pin D-RGB LED connector is to be aligned with the +5V marking on the D-RGB (addressable) header.
Backplate for the EK-Quantum Vector Master RX 6800XT/6900XT Water Blocks
EK recommends the purchase of an aluminum retention backplate, which improves the overall aesthetics of your graphics cards and also provides additional passive cooling for the GPU core, backside VRAM on the cards, and backside of the printed circuit board VRM section on AORUS Master 6800XT, and 6900XT GPUs. It comes in anodized black or nickel-plated variant.
Availability and Pricing
The EK-Quantum Vector Master RX 6800XT/6900XT GPU water blocks and backplates are made and assembled in Slovenia, Europe, and are available for order through the EK Online Shop and the dedicated reseller network. In the table below, you can see the manufacturer suggested retail prices (MSRP).
