G.SKILL Announces Unique Pentagonal Z5i Mini-ITX PC Case

(15 June 2021) – G.SKILL International Enterprise Co., Ltd., the world’s leading manufacturer of extreme performance memory and gaming peripherals, is thrilled to announce the Z5i mini-ITX chassis, a minimalistic and compact PC case constructed for high-performance, small-form-factor (SFF) builds. The Z5i features a sleek pentagonal prism case design with curved tempered glass side panels on both sides, and is capable of supporting liquid cooler radiators of up to 280mm and high-end triple-slot graphics cards of up to 330mm in length for a small, yet powerful PC build.

Uniquely Crafted for a Clean Desktop

The G.SKILL Z5i is a uniquely crafted mini-ITX case with curved 4mm tempered glass side panels that wrap around the precision-made single-piece aluminum exterior frame to form a 5-sided case, showcasing the dual-chamber design so internal hardware components can be viewed from both sides. To enable a cleaner workspace, the Z5i is created with a bottom-facing motherboard I/O panel so cables can be neatly and easily managed.

Compactly Designed for High-End Hardware

Designed to accommodate high-end hardware components, the Z5i mini-ITX case supports large 3-slot graphics cards of up to 330mm in length and supports up to a 280mm AIO radiator or two 140mm case fans in the rear for cooling. Ample data storage is also essential in a high performance system, so the Z5i is constructed to house up to three storage drives, including two 2.5” SSDs and a third convertible 2.5”/3.5” SSD/HDD drive space.

Front Panel Connectivity & ARGB Lighting
For easy access to external USB devices, the front panel on the Z5i is equipped with two USB 3.0 ports and one USB 3.1 Type-C port, providing convenient high-speed connections to modern portable storage devices or smartphones. The Z5i also integrates ARGB to provide ambient underglow case lighting via the standard 3-pin 5V RGB header on supported motherboards, and controllable with motherboard lighting software for easy lighting customizability.

Designed with Excellence

Designed to support high-end components and integrating unique features into the compact mini-ITX form factor, the Z5i has received worldwide recognition for its product design as the recipient of “iF Design Award 2021” and “Red Dot Design Award 2021”.

There are several features in this chassis that I'm curious about. Hopefully, we receive a review sample so we can put her through the paces.

Pretty neat looking chassis there but seems pretty limiting though.

Yeah, it won't fit my 13" GPU (looks like it's good for 12" though), but...it will fit a 2x120/140mm AIO, I'd gather a couple of HDD/SSDs...

...wondering what the max PSU size is though.

After weighing this out, I just don't think I can ITX as I have too many M.2s in use (ideally I'd have three).
