CES 2016: EVGA’s New Case, Gaming Laptop, Discrete Audio & More

In another one of our many stops today for our CES 2016 coverage, we visited our friends at EVGA. They had some pretty cool things to show off. EVGA has steadily expanded their product lineup over the last couple of years moving into peripherals, power supplies, and even their own memory. That trend continues this year with them expanding into the full tower case market, gaming laptops, AIO watercooling, and even a discrete sound card! Help Overclockers.com Win the HWBOT 2016 Team Cup

Calling all members! Here’s your chance to do a little bench-marking and help the Overclockers.com benching team push for first. You may think ,”I’m not a bencher” or “my hardware is too old” but that doesn’t apply here. The team cup has such a large variety of hardware that just about anyone can help, no liquid nitrogen required.

HWbot hosts a yearly competition called the Team Cup. This competition calls for a wide variety of hardware ranging from antique to modern, even cellphones and tablets can be used. This is great but also in a way makes it very difficult. Having all the necessary hardware is nearly impossible for our team, so I’m calling on all members of Overclockers.com to help out if you can. I’ll include the list of benches and hardware in this article. Take some time and have a look there might be something here for you.

NVIDIA Announces GeForce GTX 1060

Today I come bearing the news of imminent arrival of the GTX 1060. NVIDIA has announced this GPU will be available on July 19th, starting at an MSRP of $249 (Founders Edition $299). Performance is being compared to the GTX 980 which, at the price and power (120 W), is quite a solid graphics card!

Our good friends at G.SKILL are hosting a massive overclocking event at Computex in just a few short weeks. The showcase will feature some of the best overclockers in the world attempting to break as many records as possible as well as a competition with prizes.
