G.SKILL Trident Z Royal Series 32GB DDR4 4000 Review

 G.Skill recently released a few new special kits of DDR4 that feature super-fast XMP profiles and including one that is dual rank. Within the enthusiast PC community, there’s been a whole lot of buzz about dual-rank memory modules and how they offer superior performance for some benchmarks and games. Simply put, this means there are ICs on both sides of the memory PCB for better interleaving and thus better performance. We reached out to G.Skill and they sent us their new dual-rank flagship product, the unbelievably fast 2 x 16 GB 4000 CL16-19-19 Trident Z Royal.

G.SKILL Updates Trident Z Neo DDR4 Specs For Ryzen 5000 Series

G.Skill has just updated its Trident Z Neo DDR4 memory for the upcoming Ryzen 5000 series CPUs. Optimized for extreme frequency, low latency, and high capacity, there are three sets to choose from. The high-speed kits are rated for speeds up to DDR4-4000Mhz with timings set to CL16-19-19-39 32GB (16GBx2). For ultra-low latency, there is the DDR4-3800 CL14-16-16-36 32GB (16GBx2)set. If high capacity is your thing, the new Trident Z Neo also offers a DDR4-4000 CL18-22-22-42 64GB (32GBx2) kit. As with all G.Skill memory, these will come with a limited lifetime warranty. Sapphire Pulse RX 5500 XT Review: Is 4 GB VRAM Enough?

We’ll be taking a slight detour in our testing today to help shed some light on this. Instead of comparing similar cards performance which we typically do. We’ll be testing a Sapphire Pulse 4 GB and comparing it to a Gigabyte Gaming OC 8 GB RX 5500 XT to see what impact, if any, having only 4 GB of VRAM may have on gaming. Since these cards are physically wired at PCIe x8 We’ll also testing PCIe 4.0 against PCIe 3.0 performance to see if opening up the PCIe bandwidth has any impact on the results.

G.SKILL Announces Trident Z Neo 256GB DDR4-3600 CL16 (32GBx8) Memory Kit

Just in case 128GB of RAM isn’t enough for your AMD Threadripper CPU, GSkill has announced a new memory kit, the Trident Z Neo DDR4 3600 256GB (32GBx8 – ) kit. The high-speed kit uses high-density 16Gb components across eight sticks and is said to offer the ultimate memory performance or a powerful workstation for content creators. Price was not mentioned, though we can imagine these will be expensive, these will be available in Q2 2020.  Please read on for the full Press release!
