ghost_recon88, sno.lcn, and KonaKona are Benching Live Tonight

Overclockers Benching Team members ghost_recon88, KonaKona and benching team leader sno.lcn are benching sub-zero live tonight!

On stage 1, bringing the pain courtesy of some dry ice, ghost_recon88 is starting at 8:00 p.m. EST. Here’s the skinny:

  • Mobo: eVGA Classified E760
  • CPU: i7 920
  • RAM: 6GB Corsair Dominator GT 2000 CL7
  • Cooling: dry ice on the CPU
  • Focus: SuperPi, pifast, wprime

  • Date & Time: June 3rd, 8:00 p.m. EST

Not to be out-done, KonaKona is over at our fearless benching team leader sno.lcn‘s house and they’re going to be going extra cold with some liquid nitrogen! Here are their details:

Rig 1

  • Mobo: Some MSI MB
  • CPU: AMD 1055T
  • RAM: Kingston DDR3-2000
  • GPU: GTX 260 or 4870, plan on getting some time in with both.

Rig 2

  • Mobo: Either a biostar tpower i45 or asus commando
  • CPU: E6600
  • RAM: Corsair dominator DDR2 1066
  • GPU: Whatever graphics card that’s not in rig 1
  • Cooling: LN2
  • Focus: 2D, 3D, individual benches, etc. Probably going to be doing vantage and 06 on the AMD rig. If things go well we might do 05/03/01 just to pick up some extra points, the intel rig is going to be 2D only, WP and SPi.

I'm going to have to watch ghost. I have a i7 920 and eVGA E760 Classified too, and I need to get familiar with them.

I will try to stop by at some point. You guys should not have picked tonight, game 1 of the NBA Finals is on!!! Oh well, I guess benching is probably more interesting anyways...

Well, after arriving home today (and buying a load of dry ice on the way home), it turns out that the package my rents said arrived was not the one I was expecting, in fact it turned out to be a package for them and they just assumed it was for me :mad:

So, needless to say, without any RAM I won't be streaming tonight :chair: :temper: The tracking is way messed up on the RAM package (RMA from Corsair) so I really have no way of tracking it at all, but based on the latest tracking update since it didn't arrive here today it better be arriving tomorrow :shock:
